After interviewing Roger Waters the Godfather of psychedelic, Radio DJ Howard Stern announced on twitter, that Mr. Waters married his longtime girlfriend and fiancé Laurie Durning. Howard Stern announced their marriage by tweeting: "Roger Waters just announced that he got married on Saturday to his 4th wife and longtime girlfriend. He has a prenup & couldn't be happier (sic)."
The Godfather of Psychedelic was engaged to Filmmaker-and-actress Laurie Durning for seven years prior to their marriage. Mr. Water’s has three children and two grandchildren. Mrs. Waters likes to keep her private life quite and exclusive, so no comment will be made about her former status.
Back in November of 2011, Roger Waters announced that he was planning to get married before his 2012 'The Wall Live' tour, began. Saying that: "It just seems like a good time to do it before the tour." Roger Waters pledged his vows in his Southampton home with his soul mate Laurie Durning in front of six guests on Saturday January 14, 2012. Durning said the couple was rushing to get hitched before the tour began. Fortunately, fate allowed the couple to find away to set aside some time in their busy schedules to officially met their goals in tying the knot before Mr. Water’s busy concert tour began. The Godfather of psychedelic is cited saying, “Yeah, I couldn't be happier. We did [the pre-nup]. We've been living together for 10 years, I think we sort of know now that we like getting up together in the morning and going to bed at night."
Sadly, these two newlyweds will have no time for their honeymoon because the groom is scheduled to kick off his 2012 “The Wall Live” Tour in Perth Australia next week. Although these two won’t have any time for a honeymoon, Mr. Water’s new bride will be by his side helping him hand and hand during his tour. And what a tour! record sales are booming everywhere, and ticket sales have increased substantially since Mr. Waters has announced that this could be his last concert tour.
